Overview:
The Abstract of Assessment system is an integrated Web-based application that allows county assessors to enter, edit,
and view the assessment data required by C.R.S. 39-5-123. Each county assessor has been assigned a user ID and
password for the system, which will permit them to work with only their own county records.

Please note that the first time you run the application, the server must transfer some components of the application to your computer. These components (Java Archive files) can be up to 4MB (4 million bytes) in size, so over a dial-up connection, it can take 8 to 12 minutes to complete the transfer. Please see the FAQ for more information about load times.
You will need the Acrobat Reader (version 4.x and up, version 6.x preferred) installed on your PC to view the Abstract reports. If you do not have it, you can get a free copy at http://www.adobe.com/.

Submitting Data Files:
If you prefer to submit your data electronically, you may do so by following the
file layout specification.
This specification was jointly developed by the Dept. of Local Affairs, county assessors, and
software vendors. The resulting files should be
e-mailed to us.
We will import the files into the database and return a report showing any problems. Within a business
day following your submission, you can view, edit, and print your data using the online application.
