Overview:
The worksheets can be used to calculate the limits on local government property tax revenue. Much of the data used in these worksheets can be found on the Certification of Valuations (CV) sent by the county assessor. Other data for the worksheets comes from the local governments' records. If you use any DOLA spreadsheets, please verify the results and if any problems are found, notify the DOLA personnel listed below.

The Certification of Levis for Non-School Governments, Form DLG 70 can be used to certify mill levies to the Board(s) of County Commissioners.

    Revenue Limits
  • PDF | XLS | Corrected DLG 53a: Property Tax Limit Calculation Worksheet

For local governments that use the DLG53a to calculate their TABOR property tax limit:

The XLS worksheet versions dated 6/5/08 and 9/22/08 previously available above contained an errant formula. TABOR line B1 failed to add TABOR's "New Construction" into new growth. If you have either of these two versions of the XLS please edit the formula in section B1 of the TABOR calculation or download the corrected worksheet above. THIS ERROR DOES NOT IMPACT THE 5.5% LIMIT CALCULATION.
